Description Usually, the iPad/iPad 2 won't charge from a USB port unless it's in sleep mode. This libusb-based udev-activated tool overcomes this obstacle and allows you to charge your iPad and iPad 2 from a USB port with Linux. A similar solution for Windows can be found here: http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/AI_Charger/ (works on non-Asus hardware, too)
